Hello everyone just a quick update from me, in case you don't follow me on twitter or if you do you may have missed my heap of tweets mentioning my NEW updated blog!

I have now made the big leap to move to Word Press and I now have my own domain which is SUPER exciting! Sadly I couldn't take my original blog name Mirror, Mirror On The Wall with me as it was already taken so after much thought I decided on the name Beauty In The Mirror which still has the same ring to it.

I want to thank you all for supporting me and following my blog and I hope you will all join me over at my new home, if you are already following me then don't worry you don't have to re-follow me again as my clever hubby has taken my GFC button over on Beauty In The Mirror which is great.
I would love to know your thoughts about the new blog, there's still some slight tweaking to do but it's all there.

Aromatherapy Associates have a great selection of Christmas gifts this year, I've never tried the brand before but can tell from reading great blog reviews and reading about the products I can tell they are a good company and use the best ingredients.

Little Star gift set is a must for bath fans! There's nothing more relaxing than a nice hot bath with beautiful scented bath oil and some pretty candles lit which leads me onto the next gift!

Perfect Partners like most of my readers I'm a true candle fan and love having a candle lit whether it be day time or evening. For me it instantly gives that calming relaxing feeling. This would be a great gift for candle fans out there. Each candle burns for 20hrs so this set is well worth the pennies especially the beautiful aroma and ingredients which have been used.

My skin always seems to always have trouble adjusting to the Autumn/Winter climate and then throw in the central heating it's a recipe for disaster. Luckily since using 2 of products from the range I've not experienced any problematic skin. The packaging and colours used is very calming which is great and I love the little quotes which Philosophy are famous for on their products.

Keep the peace Super soothing serum is so gentle on the skin it gives your skin a protective veil helping calm redness on the skin and irritation. If you have super sensitive skin or some form of sensitivity this would be a must for your skincare routine. The formula is a very light liquid not a greasy serum at all, I apply this every morning before applying Keep the peace super soothing moisturiser and it gives my skin an added layer of hydration and protection from the environment. Whether you're an early start commuter or an early mummy bracing the cold weather, rain and wind this would be great for all skins to add this into their routine.

Keep the peace super soothing moisturiser has become my holy grail moisturiser for this time of year. As you can see from the photo below I've been using this every morning and love how my skin feels and looks. The scent is soft and not fragranced which is nice, surprisingly this is not a heavy thick formula but very creamy and hydrating which is perfect for my skin. I've noticed my skin looks more even and no signs of dry patchy areas which I hate.

Is it a HexBug?? With Christmas on it's way I thought this would be a great post to share with you about Hexbugs which are these tiny little jittery bugs which my son loves. Wait even if you don't have any children of your own or in your family do you have cats? Yep even our furry felines have taken a liking to HexBugs, if you search YouTube you will find lots of videos showing cats having lots of fun with them. My son was lucky to have the chance to try the limited edition Zombie HexBugs which are perfect for Halloween as well as a couple of the coloured original HexBug nanos.

They come housed in these spooky coffins which I think is a great idea, on their backs they have a skeletal clip on layer which glows in the dark. As you can imagine these have been played with on a daily basis since they joined our home.

There are different series of Hexbug nanos for you Hexbug fanatics out there, these two below are from the Newton Gravity series. There's another series called Newton Motion and they have a super sweet pink Hexbug which is cool.

My son bought the Hexbug Glow in the dark track below with his own birthday money, you can buy the original Nano habitat sets in lots of different packs. I think the Habitat set is a great starter set, you get enough track to build lots of different tracks but also you get 2 Nano Hexbugs which is great. The track easily clips together, you can make as many different track sets as you like.

So that you can get a true idea of how fast and neat these little bugs are we filmed them for you, also if you don't have any of the Hexbug track then fret not my son also enjoys making tracks out of his Duplo which is great and even Lego!

Overall these make great gifts and you can use most objects to create a track, I would recommend the individual Hexbugs as great stocking fillers. They are loved my girls and boys and come in an array of colours. Hexbugs also are available in other bugs such as the spider, inch worm, crab, ant and original so somethin for everyone regardless of age or whether you're a human or animal ha ha!

Christmas Festive Treats

We recently visited our local Garden & Leisure store to see the beautiful christmas arrangements and scenes. We always visit every year and my son loves going to their grotto, I will try and take photos next time we visit so you can see how great the store is. They have so many colour coded displays with every colour christmas decoration you can think of! I'm not sure about you but we have a mix 'n' match tree which has an array of different ornaments which I've collected my whole life and most of them all tell a story which I think is magical and what Christmas is all about.
So when I saw this beautiful Peacock decoration I had to have it, he was glistening on the hanger and he soon fell captive in my shopping basket amongst a scrummy Christmas Eve Yankee Candle Wax Tart.

I must admit whilst I'm new to wax tarts, I first used a wax tart last year which was a homemade one not by myself. Sadly I found the scent soon went only after a couple goes and this put me off trying them anymore and I soon resorted back to using oil. However since trying the Yankee Candle wax tart I don't think I would ever try or waste my money on any other wax tarts or oils again. I've burnt the tart 3 times and the aroma is still filling the house with a lovely christmassy scent.

Yankee Candle say the wax tarts can burn up to 8 hours each which is amazing. This one cost me £1.15 and well worth the money, not only am I going to go back to stock up for the winter but I'm also thinking of picking up a selection for stocking fillers. I know my mum would love a selection of the winter themed fragrances all wrapped up. The other scent which I wish I picked up but will pick up next time is Christmas Rose, I'm a rose scented devotee anyone but this just smelt divine and very homely.

Accessorize New A/W 2011 Makeup Collection

Accessorize have launched their new makeup collection which includes a fab foundation with SPF20!! The collection also consists of new baked blusher shades and eye shadow shades and 2 new mascaras. Photos??? Yep they're coming right up now peeps feast your eyes...

Picture Perfect feels great on the skin and gives a great full coverage, this is in the shade of Warm Honey and even though I'm fair this is slightly to cool for my skin so I need to use bronzer over the top it give me more colour. However apart from that I would say for the price this is a good all rounder, there's 5 shades to pick from so I would prob be the next shade up or maybe mix it with this shade to get a better match.

Next up is my favourite item out of the collection which is one of their baked blushers in the shade Wowzers, I've been reaching for this blush lots lately and had a great response to it. You've probably seen the photos from my Saturdays face post but I'm actually wearing the products mentioned in this post. I love the soft cool pink shade it creates which my skin tone. These blushers are so pretty with a marbles pattern, there's another 3 shades which all look stunning and I have my eyes on them.

Accessorize have also released new shades of their popular baked bronzers, look at how gorgeous these duo baked bronzers are. They look so smooth and they feel so smooth to touch, I did think they both look very similar but once swatched to the eye they are slightly different however if I had to pick one I would probably pick Pearl Sands because the darker bronze shade looks more of a matte whereas Bondi has a slight shimmer to the darker shade and think for the winter a matte bronzer works better. Both of these will give you that healthy glow which sometimes we lack in the winter so why not cheat and use one of these to give you a quick pick me up.

I'm afraid to say that both the mascaras from the collection where disappointing for myself, I tried them both a couple times each and just found they didn't coat my lashes well and took a long time to build up the product. If you're looking for a VERY natural look then both of them would be fine but if like me you like thick long black lashes I would give these a miss.

Baked Eyeshadow Duo & Trio, both of these a stunning and perfect for the festive season, if you follow my blog then you will know that I've taken a personal liking to grey shadows. I find myself wearing a dark charcoal shadow most days with a soft pink lip and cheek. I have used both of these during the day very softly on the lid a made sure I really buffed out the lines. They both have staying power and I couldn't pick between the pair because they both have beautiful shades. I would say that the marble shadow Aphrodite would be more of an evening shade because it's too sparkly for day wear for me personally. I like to wear a matte smokey eye for the day. You can use these dry or wet for more intense look or even an eyeliner. I found them very pigmented and would recommend these to everyone.

What's so special??

Well Sleep & Peel is a cellular renewal boosting cream which helps to soften the skin, fight premature ageing and correct imperfections.

The NCTC ( a unique formula of 55+1 ingredients identical to the ones used in Aesthetic Mesotherapy ) and Hyaluronic Acid cocktail in this clever cream is added 6 varieties of hydroxyl-acids ( AHA and BHA ) of different molecular sizes that guarantee progressive and controlled exfoliation. I've noticed how much clearer and brighter my skin has been since using the sleep & peel which is great because I always seem to get dry flaky patches on my skin which lets face it doesn't look great when you apply your foundation! This is become a MUST for my skincare regime and I love the fact you go to sleep and when you wake your skin looks so fresh and clear! Add it to your Christmas lists ladies because this is worth the pennies and the hype.

The Muppets By O.P.I Christmas Collection

The Muppets have been around for years and we all know the characters from The Muppet Show which was created by Jim Henson. I adored the Muppets and was very excited and happy to see this collection and learn that they've made another film in time for Christmas.There's still a bit in me which loves them, I think as soon as you see the characters they make you smile. I was very lucky to receive 2 shades from the new collection to review and share my thoughts with you all on my blog. The collection consists of 12 shades which are all eye catching, a real mix of finishes and colours.
I am SUPER excited to share my photos because for this review no words can capture how beautiful both these polishes actually are so I'm just going to dive straight in with a gallery of photos to show you. Oh and before you see the gallery please excuse my sad nails they just don't seem to grow at the moment I need to keep them painted to make them stronger.

Warm & Fozzie

A feel good shade of warm copper

Warm & Fozzie is a beautiful shade for the Autumn, a mix of copper and gold metallic hues give a warm finish which looks great on the nails. I tried to be festive and tried the red O.P.I shatter polish over the top on my ring finger, I left my baby finger bare so you can see the difference. I can see me wearing this shade all through the Autumn and winter.

I took swatches of Rainbow Connection over the top of 2 different O.P.I polishes, I thought I would try a very soft subtle background polish and opted for Sweet Heart which would really show off how pretty Rainbow Connection is. Next I thought a nice bold cream polish would compliment Rainbow Connection and was drawn to Jade is the New Black. Well OMG I will let the pictures do the talking! I love this combo so much and it screams Christmas, I have nick-named this mani Christmas Tree.

Weekend Activities

Just to quickly pre-warn you this is NOT a beauty related post, I have had such a fun weekend with my family I wanted to share it with you lovely lot. I have been busy building dens with my little ones, baking Carrot cake and designing Hex Bug cities. I wanted to share some pics and show you what we've been up to.
So I started off the weekend making my son some homemade play dough which is super easy and cheap, if you have little ones in your family they would love this as a treat and I used orange and black food dye for Halloween.

Recipe

1 Cup Plain Flour

1 Cup Water

1/2 Cup of Table Salt

1 Tbsp Oil

2 Tsps Cream of Tartar

Food Dye (optional)

Place all these ingredients in a saucepan ( old one ) and mix them all together and add a few drops of your desired food dye if you want. Don't worry if you don't have food dye it doesn't matter, you could add vanilla essence and make a nice smelling playdough.Once you've mixed it all together place it on the hob and turn up the heat and basically cook the playdough, be careful and make sure you keep stirring. It's like your making scrambled eggs, eventually after a little while the mixture will form a dough. When it starts to form a dough then turn it out onto the work surface and let it cool because it will be hot.You'll probably want to soak your saucepan because it can get a bit messy but it's so worth it.
I plan on making green and red playdough for Christmas and adding fine glitter to the dough.

Building Hex Bug Cities

In case you're not familiar with these little creatures then I will quickly fill you in, these are called Hex Bugs, you simply flick the little switch and they jitter around. My 4yr old son bought a kit with his birthday money last month and got these and some glow in the dark track which you build. He has now become a fan and plays with them on a daily basis. He designed a Duplo city for them also.

Baking with Betty Crocker

This has got to be the most easiest, quickest way to baking a carrot cake and also cheapest! I bought the carrot mix on offer from Tescos, I think I paid £1.83ish and then £2.10 for the Vanilla Buttercream icing. You do need 3 eggs and some cooking oil which I'm you all have in your cupboards. I must confess I could easily bake something like this and turn up at a friends birthday or special occassion and pretend I had been working hard all day baking it. I'm already considering more Betty Crocker baking, have you tried the range?

Liz Earle Foot Repair Moisturiser & Socks

I've upped my foot care routine and have been using a super moisturising Foot Cream by Liz Earle and their super sweet Moisturising Foot Socks which remind me of elf shoes!

I've used these every week for the past 3 weeks and love them, I use them at night and my feet are all warm and when I wake up I love taking them off to reveal super soft soles! I wash them in the washing machine on a 40 and they dry in no time. They are worth £4.75 for sure, these would make a great stocking filler with a tube of the Foot Repair Moisturiser which comes in two different sizes. You can choose between the 100ml full size which retails £13.00 or a mini size 15ml £4.75.

Foot Repair Moisturiser feels and smells lovely like all Liz Earle products, I have dry cracked heels and also suffer from dryness on top of my feet. Even through the winter I need to make sure I use my foot cream because my sin gets dry and itchy which means my feet become inflamed so using this foot cream will be great because of the amazing ingredients. Avocado, wheatgerm oils and shea butter are all great for softening the skin with essential oils Peppermint, Rosemary, Patchouli and Eucalyptus all add to the magical aroma which I adore! I use the Liz Earle foot scrub before hand which is smells out of this world also, I would love to bottle up the scent as a perfume! You can read my review of the foot scrub here.

Nanoblur maybe small but it does BIG things, this is a great size to hide away in your handbag and whip out when you need a quick fix, and lets face it whats quicker than 40secs??? You can purchase Nanoblur from Boots which is great because everyone has a Boots near them, if your local Boots doesn't stock this then order online and have it sent to your store.

Two new lippies which have been getting lots of love are in fact from MeMeMe Cosmetics, one called China Rose which is my absolute favourite and the other one is called Pashmina Pink. Both of these lipsticks feel great on the lips and apply like butter on the lips. Surprisingly they have ood staying power, if I'm honest I don't really think there's many lipsticks which stay on the lips long apart from matte lipsticks which I adore. Maybe MeMeMe should do a range of matte lippies??

Tea Tree & Witch Hazel

Tea Tree is great for sensitive and irritated skin, tea tree and witch hazel are often used in many skincare products to help a variety of skin problems. I've been testing out some of the range from Grace Cole called TEA TREE & WITCH HAZEL. I was kindly sent some hair, face & body products to try and wanted to share my thoughts with you about the shampoo & conditioner and body butter.

For years I have suffered from a dry itchy scalp which has become just a part of my hair routine and I've tried various products which have helped but all of them seem to be actual treatments which you would use once a week. However finding a shampoo & conditioner which can help is great, I know there are actual shampoos & conditioners out there that target problem scalps but non of them seem to have the same effect which I have experienced since using the Tea Tree & Witch Hazel Shampoo & Conditioner.

Cleansing Shampoo £3.00/ 300ml

On the first application I didn't find the scent appealing however it's because the shampoo is made using natural ingredients so what you smell is Tea Tree which has a distinct scent. After a while though I got use to it and found it refreshing and enjoyed using it knowing how it was helping my scalp. If you suffer fom an irritated scalp then I would really recommend you try this because the price is great, cheap as chips. It's always great to find a product which really works and doesn't break the bank because you know you'll go back for more. It lathered up well and rinsed out easily.

Nourishing Conditioner £3.00/ 300ml

I found the conditioner to be really light but nourishing not weighing the hair down and it didn't leave any residue which I find so many conditioners seem to do recently. I have thick hair so I go through conditioner quite quickly. I found the conditioner coated my hair nicely and was easy to rinse out which was a big bonus, after a while my poor arms ache! This leaves my hair with a lovely natural shine accentuating my hair colour.

Quenching Body Butter £4.00/200ml

Then something for the body, I've been trying their Quenching Body Butter which is really rich and nourishing. Perfect for the change of seasons and especially now the heating is going on I know I need to up my body care routine and make sure I apply a body moisturiser at least once a day and twice if I have time. My skin gets dry and itchy and then red and sore, again having the key ingredients of tea tree & witch hazel makes a big difference. My skin is soothed and feels calm no itchiness or irritated skin, normally I feel it worse on my legs. I love the big tub of cream, easy to use and apply.

This range would really appeal to people who have skin which is naughty and doesn't always stay calm. Whether you suffer from dry skin, blemish prone skin I would recommend you try the hair care and body care for sure. I do have a couple facial products which I'm planning to test soon and will update my thoughts with you very soon so check back and see what I think of the skincare range.

Right this is not a post I do often mainly because I don't often get the time to go and pick up bits for myself, being a busy mummy of two little ones I mainly spend my money on them! So I treated myself to a few little goodies which I wanted to share with you lovely lot.

Asos recently had their mid-season sale which I think is still on but probably not much left now, I was totally charmed when I saw this super cute gold charm necklace. This was originally £8 which lets face it ladies isn't going to break the bank but when I saw it reduced down to £4 It was in my shopping cart and bought faster than you can imagine. The chain is a nice length and sits beautifully in the centre of your chest area and really catches the light and eye.

The next two bargains I bought yesterday and are both from Tescos F & F range, they currently have a sale and also 25% off certain items. I saw this cute long cardigan with horses and horseshoes printed all over it and loved it. I like the burnt amber/copper shade of the cardigan because I don't have anything like this and it really caught my eye and reminded me of Autumn. It has black buttons down the centre and 2 pockets, I bought a size bigger for comfy-ness. This was originally £16 but reduced to £11 which I thought was fabulous, I intend on wearing a plain coloured tee underneath either a white/black/chocolate one and then pair it up with some leggings and my soft beige O'Neill boots. I love wearing cosy slouchy clothes in the autumn/winter.

My last bargain which I snapped up was this cute black patent handbag which has a lovely long strap to wear on your shoulder or across your body. What drew me to the bag was the shape of the bag and the cute opening on the front. This will go with lots of outfits and for once I'm glad it doesn't have lots of fancy pockets. I want a bag which when opened doesn't resemble Mary Poppins bag, I want to be able to find what I'm looking for. This was originally £12.50 and was reduced to £7 which again was very pleasing to my purse :)

Pretty Not Plastered Book Review

Afternoon my cherubs, I have a book review for you which makes a lovely change. Being a book worm that I am I feel right at home reviewing the book and would like to share my thoughts with you! Emily Rose is a professional make-up artist who has achieved so much at a young age.

The book is a nice size and not overwhelming which is a big positive, I found everything easily laid out which is another positive because the book is meant to be used and referred to so it's important you can find extracts quickly.
This book will show you how to:

* Look after your skin so that it looks healthy and beautiful.

* Apply your foundation perfectly to contour your face.

* Emphasise your eyes for a natural or a smokey evening look.

* Choose your lip colour and apply your lipstick.

* Match your make-up to your prom dress or party clothes.

The pictures are nice and clear and true which I think is very important, you can tell these are every day women just like us! The looks which Emily has created and featured within the book is great I mean I love the '5-Minute Looks You'll Love' these are all quick simple looks which anyone can achieve.

Lots of great tips and advice! Sometimes it's important to get the basics right when applying make-up, I really believe in that and think if you can get the basics mastered then the world is your oyster. Have fun and don't be afraid to play or experiment with colours.

Overall I would say this is great beginners book, I wouldn't say this is for your professional makeup artist looking for inspiration but this is a great book for women to gain confidence and try new looks and have a guide which they can follow and feel confident in achieving. This would make a great gift for friend or mum, I know my mum doesn't feel very confident when applying makeup so this book would be great for her. OR if you have a teenage girl who is starting to wear makeup or starting to use skincare this would be a fab book for her!

Whilst also spreading her expert knowledge and experience with Vogue, Vanity Fair and Harper's Bazaar to name a few!

Gina will be holding her first UK PA to offer her expert insight, tips and also applications on a 1-2-1 basis which is amazing. Appointments will be held from 3-6pm, so don't hesitate if you're interested book your slot fast. Why not be a star for the day and have your makeup done by a true makeup artist.

Appointments will be held on a first come first basis so if you would like a 1-2-1 consultation then don't hesitate book right away! I've never tried Hourglass Cosmetics and think this would be a great opportunity to really familiarise yourself with their product range. I did have a look on the Liberty website and I like the look of their lipsticks and the funny looking lip glosses. Oh and their makeup brushes look lush!

The Matte Factor

Matte Lips are bang on trend and I have to agree I love matte lips, Miners have recently released six matte-nificent shades which are all gorgeous!

These Lip paints coat your lips in a wash of colour which lasts for such a long time. Sweetly scented and a pleasure to wear for day time and evening, the range of shades are great I really think Miners have covered all angles, from deep red to soft fluffy Candy floss pink I'm sure there is a shade for everyone. The texture of the lip paints is perfect, soft and easy to apply and work with. I found that you can build the colour for a more intense look. I loved the look of Hot Pink but thought it was a little to bold for me but found that if you apply a small amount on your bottom lip and then patted the colour all over you had a toned down version which was so pretty!.

Peach Hot Pink Warm Red

I couldn't believe when i read the press release and read the price of the Lip Paint, only £3.99 each!! Yep you heard right, I would pick up a few as these are going to be popular. If you like a little colour on the lips but nothing to bright then Peach is a really beautiful day time colour which shows you have lippie on but it's not in your face.

Saturday's Face & Hair

Hello my lovelies as you may already know I have soft spot for skulls and love my skull ring! So when I was down my local Sainbury's browsing the Halloween section for my little boy I spotted this skull printed headband and knew I had to get it! So funny because it says Age 7yrs plus do you think I'm too old for it? Ha ha.

Here's a quick FOTD and my messy up do hair and Skull head band, hope you like it! What have you been wearing today?

I kept my makeup simple and used some products from the Accessorize A/W collection, a post to follow soon with swatches. I'm loving dark grey eyes with soft pink features. What shades have you been enjoying?

I wore my hair up in a really messy bun and then position the bow just to the side under neath the bun. This fits my head fine and if anything it's a little big so think I need to add a stitch to it to make it more snug.

Skullduggery Bath Ballistic

Halloween is just a skulls throw away, so I have a cheeky TREAT not a Trick for you lovelies today!
Lush have released their annual Halloween goodies, one of which is their Skullduggery Bath Ballistic.Which quite frank smells bloody LUSH! As some of you may remember a little while ago I hosted a Spooky birthday party for my son as he loves all things scary! You can see that post here.
So he was delighted to meet Skullduggery and introduce him to his other spooky friends!

Lush say-

Skullduggery is an eerie but magical celebration for your bathtub. We used brightening and refreshing lime and neroli for the fragrance and olibanum (also known as frankincense resinoid) to help that citrusy smell stay on your skin until the witching hour and beyond.

Lime oil is a popular ingredient in remedies to combat congested skin, cellulite or simply to wake you up!

We use expensive neroli oil as it is one of the few essential oils to be scientifically proven to increase serotonin production in the brain - Arriba!

Olibanum resinoid, otherwise known as frankincense, has a woody, slightly fruity aroma and covers the skin with a thin, protective film, softening the skin. It is extremely effective on sore, cracked, de-hydrated skin.

Jack invented Calavera Bath Bomb last year for our Day of the Dead celebration; a very zesty number full of vibrant, bright colours to get you celebrating in the bath. He chose uplifting citrus oils for the fragrance, as they can help clear your head after a night of celebrating the dead (with one too many tequilas!)

Decorated skulls (or Calaveras) are iconic in Day of the Dead imagery – so this year, we took the concept of Jack’s Bath Bomb last year and gave it a slightly spookier look. This ballistic is limited edition so get it while you can.

Kleenex New Facial Cleansing

In case you haven't heard Kleenex have recently launched a new range facial cleansing products. We all know Kleenex whether we use them for tears of joy or to wipe away sad tears they have been around for many a years and are still going strong. I've had a good couple weeks now using the new range so I feel I can give you an honest review. However to be honest after the first or second use I basically felt I knew enough about them to give an honest review but thought I would give them a fair trial.
I like the packaging and the images of the masques on each product, I could see these really catching peoples attention in the shops with the clean crisp white background and the clear splash of colour.

Facial Cloths £1.99

Do not be fooled by the packaging these are in fact cotton wool sheets! They feel so soft to touch, they are quilted and made from natural fibres and claim to be softer than cotton wool. They can be used wet or dry which is a bonus and therefore are great for applying cleansing lotion/toner or removing facial masks or even nail polish. I tried to get a close up so you can see the thickness and the texture of the cloths. The box contains 30 cloths.

Eye Make-up Removal Wipes £2.99
I have to admit every now and then I do go through a lazy stage where I just want to remove my makeup quickly with no fuss, so using cleansing cloths is great for me. However I've never come across any which are suitable to use on the eye area so these really appeal to me and I'm sure they appeal to a lot of you peeps! I like the slim line packaging making them different and unique from other brands. They even remove waterproof mascara, I can't say I've tried them on waterproof mascara because I don't wear it.
All the products have the ecoform natural fibres stamp which means they are friendly on the environment rather than your traditional cleansing wipe. The pack contains 24 wipes.

Facial Cleansing Wipes £2.99

Theses wipes are suitable for sensitive skins and very similar to the facial cloths being quilted and gentle. I like the way Kleenex have thought of the catch phrase removing your 'mask' because that's so true. The scent is minimal and not fragranced at all which is another bonus for me, I've tried various brands in the past and they make the mistake of adding a scent which can really put people off.

Shine Absorbing Sheets £2.99
I haven't used blotting sheets for years probably when I was a teenager I think, I did have terrible oily skin with so many blemishes. My skin has changed now and I have combination-dry with the typical t-zone, well today I felt my face was literally melting. My face felt dirty and just greasy which was horrible, I reached for these and couldn't have been more impressed. I took out one sheet and used the plain side to dab away at my nose and forehead. My t-zone instantly looked much better, these have now been added to my handbag so I can grab them when needed. I liked the fact my makeup stayed in tact, which they claim to do. When I removed the sheet I expected to see traces of foundation but it was totally clear, so big thumbs up Kleenex you've done a brilliant job! The sleek neat pack contains 50 sheets.

Now onto the pricing, well to be honest they all have reasonable price tags compared to other brands on the market who sell similar products. HOWEVER Superdrug currently have all of these HALF PRICE!! Yes half price so if any of these or ALL of them tickle your fancy then be quick and stock up because you can't beat half price my lovelies!

Blistex New Products for Dry Lips

I often suffer from dry cracked lips this time of the year and often find myself reaching for my trusty Blistex Relief Cream which I have mentioned many times on my blog. My lips get so sore in the colder months that they actually spilt sometimes and my lips bleed which is very sore and sometimes they even look swollen. Well this year I am well and truly ready to fight back with 2 super hydrating products from Blistex which are in the new packaging. Also I have their fun fruity-flavoured lip balm which is so retro! I've been putting them all to good use already with the drop in temperature.

Lip Massage SPF15 has got to be one of the most unique lip balms I've tried, with a unique ridged applicator tip which gently massages away rough dry skin. I found from the first application I loved the formulation which is very similar to vasaline. Aloe Vera helps soothe the lips whilst Shea Butter really hydrates the lips preventing dry sore lips. To use the lip massager you just need to twist to release the product, it can take a few twists before anything appears! I can see me using this lots and lots when the winter comes.

Intensive Moisturiser SPF10 is a long lasting quick fix for the lips which gives instant hydration, this would be the one to carry around in your pocket or bag. This is great to use prior to lipsticks, I apply a little dab and then pat into my lips and let my lips soak in the cream. Your lips feel so soft and supple, I like the angled tipped applicator. I've tried lots of lip balms in the past and I always come back to my Blistex Relief cream so i am really excited to try these products through the winter to really test them.

Now this one is fun, it brings me back to my teenage years when I remember flavoured lip Balms where all the rage. I love the smell and taste of this one, I know your not meant to lick you lips but I can't help it. The title says it all really Raspberry Lemonade Blast, once the lip balm hits your lips you have a tasty explosion which hydrates and keeps the lips protected with an SPF15. I'm not sure if you can still get hold of this limited edition treat but check your local Superdrug just incase.

ART DECO Autumn/Winter Collection

Art Deco have released their Autumn/Winter collection called Wild at Heart the collection consists of teals, plums and taupe's which are all stunning! I was very kindly sent a selection of their new shades from the collection and would like to share my thoughts with you lovely bunch.

I have had so much fun using their Eye Designer which is a great versatile product, basically you pick your eye shades and then they simply screw onto the ends. This is great to carry around with you, it's light and compact. I have took in depth photos showing below how simple it is.

The Eye Designer has 2 ends both sponge tipped but one end has a more defined pointed shape whilst the other is more rounded. Decide which eyeshadow powder you want at what end and then you simply screw on, it could not be any easier.

The range of shades available is great, from soft muted shades to deep smokey shades. I have the shade 14 which is a soft grey cameo, great for every day. The other shade I have is 67 which is a Nile Blue, this is a true Navy shade which looks amazing along the lower lashes and blended into the crease of the eyes. I really like both of these individually and together.Check out the range of shades here.

Soft Eye Liner- 60 Azure Blue / Soft Lip Liner 91- Creamy Violet

The Soft Eye Liners and Soft Lip Liners remind me of Mac straight away, I love the black packaging and the coloured tip and cap. They are both waterproof which is great because they both have staying power, I need an eye liner which is going to last me all day because I apply my makeup early in the morning and then have my 2 young children to look after all day and find some eye liners look non existent by lunch time. As for the lip liner I was really surprised with how long it lasted and I actually used this all over my lips one day and it lasted far longer than any lipstick. It just goes to show that lip liners can be 2 products in one!

As you all know I have a natural obsession with concealers for the under eye area so when I saw this in the package I did a little dance! Perfect Teint concealer reminds me so much of the YSL version, I have shade 6 which is perfect for me. The warm apricot shade really helps my dark dark circles and brightens the area, I apply this all over the under eye area and using my ring finger I very gently blend this in.

Ceramic Nail Lacquer 117 has to be in my top 3 Autumn shades this season! I love the delicate feminine shade, this looks amazing on short and long nails. Art Deco describe the Nail Lacquer as a soft Grey Cameo, after comparing this with other grey polishes I think it has a slight warmth to it which is pleasing on the hands. I will post a NOTD soon so you can see how pretty this polish really is.

*I did take swatches but sadly as you know the weather has been rather dull so the colours do not show as intense in real life*

Good Things Soothing Bodycare

Evening my lovelies, I hope you're all wrapped up warm the weather is very chilly down here in Devon. A little while ago I was surprised with a beautiful presented fruit bowl with a selection of the new Bodycare products by Good Things. This was such a lovely surprise and I couldn't wait to wrap and dive in and test out the products.

I love the fruit bowl the products came packaged in, I think this gives a true representation of the Good Things philosophy. Super fruits for super skin, the new Bodycare range comes in 2 options. The first is their Ultra Rich range which looks fab and sounds amazing, with super fruit ingredients galore. I'm sure this would be perfect for the colder weather. The range I have is their Soothing range which smells out of this world, you almost have to stop yourself from licking the products ha ha!

Soothing Exfoliating Scrub £4.99/200ml

I must be honest and say this is the one thing which I am guilty of, I don't exfoliate my body as much as I probably should. After trying this I have not got into my own body care routine and love using this in the shower. It feels great not too gritty and smells of peach and passion fruit which is lovely in the morning! I tend to use this on a damp skin but if you wanted a more intense exfoliation you can apply this to dry skin.

This was the product which I found myself opening and testing first, I do have dry skin and find my body can literally drink body lotions and creams. I like the packaging with a nice deep jar and screw top lid which can be re-used after. The scent is amazing with super fruit ingredients such as Plum, Goji Berries, Coconut & Shea Butter. The texture and formulation of the body butter is perfect nice and thick as you would expect, I tend to use this on my thighs and legs which get really dry.

Soothing Body Lotion £4.99/200ml
At first I wasn't too fussed about the body lotion, because I have dry skin I tend to reach for a body cream or butter. However this body lotion feels great on and really moisturises the skin, I use this over my arms and chest area and tummy. As for the smell well you can imagine what Goji Berry & Blueberry smell like, sublime! This body lotion is great for everyday use and I find myself using this on my arms everyday especially my elbows and my bingo wings ha ha!

Overall the packaging is eye catching and very in keeping with their skincare range, I think their packaging is very noticeable now and when you see the pretty floral design on a product you think Good Things! The price is another bonus nice and reasonable considering the quality and type of ingredients which are being used, I really recommend you try their skincare and body care. Hey lovelies...I hope you've all had a great weekend the weather has turned a little nippy down here in Devon so I've been treating myself to a nice pampering. As some of you may remember I do suffer from a dry scalp every so often and have tried numerous treatments to try and help restore my scalps natural oils. The scent is a concoction of coffee beans and dark chocolate which I don't mind but not be to everyones liking but once the treatment is applied to the hair the scent does settle down.
Their are clear instructions on the jar and then it's basically down to you how you wish to use the product. I normally scoop about a teaspoon into my palm and the product literally melts into an oil which you then apply to your hair/scalp. The product has a plastic protective seal which is nice, it lets you know the product has been tested and is nice and fresh. Once you've discarded the plastic film their is a rubber seal which you can use in place to keep the product clean and fresh in between treatments.

My latest perfume love has to be STELLA by Stella McCartney, this fragrance is totally different from anything I have in my collection and that's probably why I've been enjoying it so much.
Fashion designer Stella McCartney decided to match her signature fragrance STELLA to her mainline collection to create a limited edition collection called 'Print Collection'. The collection consists of 3 bold prints which are all floral and all absolutely stunning for that matter.

The perfume itself smells of delicate rose petals, this is lovely day perfume and also bold enough to wear of an evening. I've never tried the cult classic STELLA, so really didn't have a clue what to expect and I must say I was blown away by the scent so different and nothing I've tried which is really refreshing because after a while so many perfumes smell the same but this one really has made it's way to the front of the queue in my collection.

Liz Earle Foot Scrub

Just when we thought the Summer was over BAM a heat wave appears! Yesterday was a scorcher! My back garden was so hot I couldn't sit out there at the peak times of the day, whenever the weather is hot my feet seem to swell and get very hot. To help with my poor feet I've been using the Liz Earle Foot Scrub lots this week. I did have the Liz Earle Foot Spritizer but have lost it :( *sad face* which is such a shame because itwas a great product for colling your feet and legs down.

The smell is amazing and different from any Liz Earle product I've smelt before, It still has that relaxing aromatherapy aroma but I think the Rosemary fragrance really comes through and makes this a truly great foot product.
The texture is perfect very thick but applies easily and evenly on the skin, I was expecting my feet to tingle slightly because of the peppermint and it didn't BUT I was happy about that and glad.

Peppermint Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil, Lavadin

Armoise, Patchouli Essential Oil, Eucalyptus Essential Oil

You only need a small amount and then really work into dry areas such as the balls of your feet or your heels in my case. Liz Earle recommend you use a foot file before hand and then follow with their Foot Repair Moisturiser. I haven't tried this product but would love to know if it's the same smell, it has the exact same ingredients so I reckon it does. I think Rosemary could be my new favourite essential oil.

I kept my eyes simple and used Darkhorse from my Naked palette all over the lid and then used the Urban Decay Black 24/7 liner in the waterline. Next I used Clarins MiamiPpink blush with Nars new Order Highlighter over the top and Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting on the lips. After creating this simple smokey spooky look I actually loved it and think I will try this again soon.

Imperial Leather Skin Kind

I've been enjoying 2 body products by Imperial Leather, actually let me rephrase that part. My whole family has been enjoying 2 products by Imperial Leather. These products are both from their SkinKind hydrate range which contain cotton extract and oat milk. I still can't get over this scent and love it so much that I think I could wear this as a fragrance, seriously next time your at the shops have sniff because it's so good.

Imperial Leather say-

The cotton extract, oat milk and an allergen-free fragrance of SkinKind Hydrate leave your skin not only feeling soothed and moisturised, but also smelling delightfully fresh.

Bath Milk £1.89/500ml
I've been really impressed with the Bath Milk simply because I've used this in my little girls bath and she's only 16months old and this has been lovely on her skin. My son gets dry sensitive skin so was still a little cautious but again I was pleasantly surprised when his skin was fine and had no reaction. For me this was a great test to see if the product really is for sensitive skin and I can honestly say YES this would be great for sensitive skins. Plus Imperial Leather have also made this hypoallergenic, allergen and fragrance free which is also good. This products gets the thumbs up from everyone in my home little people included :)

Body Wash £1.83/250ml

When I first tried this I was instantly won over purely by the scent but after a few washes I was soon smitten with the whole product. The formula is creamy and lathers up great when used with a shower puff, my skin feels soft and hydrated after using this. If only they had this in a body lotion hey? It would be great I'm sure.

Boots currently have this on offer for £1 so now is your chance to try it, I was kindly sent these 2 products but am genuinely going to pop on and pick up some supplies because I'm so impressed with it. Sadly since taking the photos and writing up my post all the body has gone so I think a trip is needed asap!

Both products smell lovely, are great for all the family and are priced really cheap in my opinion. So theirs no excuse peeps, next time you're at the shops pick these up to try you will thank me.

I was shopping in Asda today and saw some of their lines which are in fact Limited Edition, they look very relaxing and festive which is great seeings the darker evenings are here. There's nothing more relaxing than a lush smelling bubble bath and a good book to read. Another product which caught my eye was their Fine Handwash which looked very stylish and chic. Have you seen these?

Philip Kingsley* Elasticizer

I've started to get myself into a really good hair routine and have been really encouraging healthy shiny hair with the help of masks and treatments. I do dye my hair and use styling tools on my hair so it's important I look after it and keep it healthy and hydrated.
Philip Kingsley has a great product for dry/damaged hair, I've never used a product like this before and seriously noticed a difference from the first treatment. I can't believe I've not read about this more on blogs because this geninuely deserves a RAVE review so I'm going to give it one. I was lucky to receive this as a gift and am so glad I did.

So what's so special then I hear you say?? WELL this was originally created for the very glamorous Audrey Hepburn, so no wonder this is an award wining product. This is a pre shampoo intensive treatment which is extremely moisturizing and delivers elasticity, bounce and shine to hair.
Included with the product is a very fetching hair cap which you can pop on when you are letting the treatment process. I've find this really helpful and has saved me on rolls of clingfilm ha ha!
Elasticizer is a little pricey costing £25.50 for 150ml I did find it on QVC for £22.50 so thats a few pennies saved. I think if you shop around you could probably find a good deal.

For best results you should use this regulary and part of your normal hair routine however you must NOT use Elasticizer for THREE days before and THREE days after chemical processing. This is because of the hair follicles. You need to dampen your hair and apply the elasticizer in sections and work the product into the hair whilst applying then pop on your hair cap and wait for 20-30 minutes. Rinse well and then proceed with your normal shampoo and conditioner routine. The consistency is thick but very lightweight, now I know that probably sounds funny but it's true.

Philip Kingsley recommends the following:
When to Use on Unprocessed hair
- For Fine & Medium Textured hair, use once or twice a month
- For Coarse, Wavy, Curly or Frizzy hair, use once a weekWhen to Use on Processed hair

Today I have a great review of the lovely Intervene skincare range by Elizabeth Arden. Whenever I read or hear about Elizabeth Arden I automatically think of their miracle cream Eight Hour Cream which I've tried before but not for many years. They have such an amazing range now of their famous eight hour cream, have you tried this amazing product? I have super dry feet and think this would really work wonders on them.

The Intervene skincare range is perfect for me because it's aimed at women ages 25-39 which addresses the first signs of ageing whilst helping to maintain that youthful glow we all strive to achieve. I don't normally use lotions because I find I always need something extra but recently if I've been using a skin makeup base then I find I don't need such a rich facial moisturiser so this has come in handy! I normally have normal - dry skin but recently my skin has been a little out of sorts and sometimes the Day Cream has been a little rich so I've been using this in conjunction with the day cream and my skin has settled back down now. This is SUPER light so this would be great for you ladies who have Oily skin, plus another added bonus is the SPF15 which is always very much welcomed in my eyes. Especially the fact this line of skincare is for preventing fine lines and helping with the first signs of ageing.

I love the name of the night cream Stress Recovery! Yes that's exactly what I need, our skin is repairing and working lots to recover from the daily aggressors which we've encountered throughout the day. I like the packaging clean and crisp, both creams come with a plastic protective cover inside which is good. You only need a small amount and the scent of the cream is pleasing and feels good on the skin. My skin use to feel and sometimes look dry and dehydrated but since using this range my skin doesn't have those dehydration lines anymore or look dull.

Elizabeth Arden say-

Works continuously throughout the night to help skin recover from daytime assaults and defend against the visible effects of stress on the skin.

Wake up to skin that looks younger, relaxed, revitalised and radiant.

Overall I've found the Intervene range to be a really great addition to my skincare regime, my skin has really benefited from using the products and now is no longer dry or dehydrated but glowing and supple. Whilst I still have tiny blemishes and my forehead feels a little bumpy but my skin over all is looking good and healthy. I really believe in good skincare and think your makeup will look great on good skin, but if your skin is bad then it doesn't matter how much makeup you plaster on your skin will always come through.

If you are thinking about anti-ageing and starting a new skincare regime I would really recommend you try this range. I'm hitting the big 30 next year and so I'm really taking my skincare routine seriously and am enjoying my skincare regime and the results I am seeing. How much do you pay for good skincare?

Everyday Eye Look Using BM Beauty

I've been using a new mineral eyeshadow for the past few days and love it! I haven't used mineral makeup for months and have now fallen back in love with mineral shadows. I love how you can build the depth and create the look you want whether it soft and subtle or deep and intense.
I had the chance to try a product from the New BM Beauty range which is in fact created by former pussy Cat Doll Kimberley Watt and Laura McComiskie. They wanted to create a brand which was cruelty free and has the stamped approval by the BUAV and PETA. The range is also free from parabens, fragrances, synthetic dyes and lots of other nasties. You could say this brand is very pure and natural and suitable for everyone which is great.

I had a look through the range and found it hard to pick but thought I would pick an eyeshadow which was on trend but also could be used in various ways. I decided to try Mississippi Mud which is a matte brown shadow, I find the best way of applying mineral shadow is by patting the shadow onto the lid. You can really build the shadow and even use this with a little water to create an eyeliner. I decided to use this all over the lid building the colour till I was happy and then gently smoked it out into the crease and under the lashes.

Here is the finished look I created...

I wanted to show you how different your eyes can look with a little highlight under the brow!

What do you think? I personally love this shadow and think this is a great all rounder which everyone should have in their collection. It's a stunning shade which can be used on it's own like I've done or you could use this as a base for your other brown/dark shadows. The prices are also reasonable and affordable, the eye shadow costs £7 which is god value considering how long this will last, you can view the range here.

Help: Clear Skin Guest Review

Hello peeps! I had a little bit of a worry about my blog and not being able to blog which was a little daunting for me ha ha! The thing is my blog is my baby and a lot of tender loving care goes into it so when I thought I couldn't blog it was scary. However everything is restored and all is OK.

I have a great guest review for you lovely lot from the gorgeous Nicoletta, if you don't already follow her amazing blog then I suggest you take a peak and follow.

Anyone who suffers with regular spots and blemishes knows how difficult it can be to find products that suit their skin type. I have always known that diet affects my skin condition probably more so than any other factor so when the lovely Sherrie asked me if I'd like to review the Clear Skin system I jumped at the chance.

Clear Skin is made by Works With Water and comes in the form of a white powder that you mix with either food or liquid and consume twice a day. Made with 100% natural ingredients including Praventin which is a clinically proven bio active protein and rich in lactoferrin, which has been shown to reduce the development of the bacteria responsible for many skin impurities, helping to prevent the formation of blemishes due to its antimicrobial effects.

I found them very easy to take as you can add them to virtually anything, most of the time I just sprinkled them into a glass of orange squash as I just found it easiest. The powder mixes in well and I found it had a slightly sweet taste to it but nothing too noticeable. I also tried them mixed into cereal and yoghurt's.

I took them twice a day for 5 weeks and it took about 3 weeks before I started to notice a difference but my skin definitely improved. I noticed that I was having clearer skin and although I still had the odd pimple I didn't get any big spots.

My skin is usually very temperamental and I often get lumps under the skin around my chin area which gets quite sore and I'm pleased to say that since taking this product I have not had any at all.

After the first 5 weeks I have to say that I didn't keep up with the sachets twice a day, I was a bit hit and miss. (Nothing to do with not wanting to take them I just kept forgetting) But I'm pleased to say that even without taking the full maximum dose my skin is looking really good. I've been averaging about 7 sachets a week so that's half the recommended dose.

Photo makeup free

The sachets are available from the website and cost £9.99 for a week's supply but at the moment they are on special offer for buy one get one free, so if you are considering trying this then it's a really good deal.

I'm really pleased with the results and if you suffer with breakouts then I'd highly recommend giving this a go. Combined with a good skincare routine you can fight the blemishes both internally and externally so it's a double whammy.

This is actually from Jemma Kidd's old brush range, I bought this half price over a year ago and loved it when I first bought it then once my e.l.f brushes came along this got made redundant but have found a new use for this brush. I've been using this brush to apply the e.l.f mineral eyeshadow as a highlighter on my cheekbones. I find the small brush is great for this job!

Excuse my messy brows, they need sorting out!

Rose Quartz is beautiful and gives such a rosy glow to the cheeks, I need to use this more because it's truly stunning! The problem is like most Mac addicts a new collection comes out and I get sucked in and never really get to properly use the products which is a shame. That's why I'm so glad I'm doing these series of posts so I get to use all the makeup I once loved again!

This is my second S&G Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss and love them! I got this with the Christmas set last year and can't believe I haven't tried this until now! The scent reminds me of Palmers cocoa butter which I love! Have you tried these glosses??

Mac Chromagraphic Pencil in NW25 is a great flesh pencil for waterline and brightens the eye are, this is great if you're looking tired and want brightening up. I loved this pencil when I first bought it and now have fallen back in love with it again!

I love it when a product can be used in a number of ways, I really recommend you try the e.l.f Mineral eyeshadow in Natural. They also have a few other shades which would also work as a highlighter!

COWSHED Wild Cow Body Lotion

The evenings are drawing in and so the mornings are getting darker and more miserable with the typical British weather! I'm already starting to struggle waking up and getting up in the morning. I was sorting through my body lotions and found this and totally forgot I had it, I did get this free with a magazine but can't for the life of me remember which magazine it was.

The striking packaging caught my eye and interest, I really like the black bold fern image on the bottle. I had a look at Cowshed online because this is the first product I've ever tried from them before and was interested to learn more about their products. The body lotion is from their Wild Cow range which invigorates and revitalises your body & mood. They have another 5 signature scents for all different moods. I really like there Which Mood? feature where you answer 3 questions to determine your mood. I just did mine and I'm Knackered Cow! How funny is that? I love it!

I've been really impressed with the body lotion and can only imagine the other products in the range to also be great. They have body washes, bath oil, room candles, room diffusers and relaxing soap.

The body lotion is packed with great ingredients such as lemongrass, ginger and rosemary. If you are looking for a new body lotion and need that wake up call in the morning then I really recommend you give this one a go. I really like the COWSHED packaging and think they would be great for Christmas presents.

Rituals Eye Products

I've been using 2 new products by the brand Rituals, their Awareness refreshing eye lotion and their lighten up under eye concealer which targets dark circles. I've been using both of these products for a few weeks now and feel I can give you an honest review of them both.

Refreshing Eye Lotion-Awareness I've been using the eye lotion day and night for 4 weeks now and feel my area hasn't changed dramatically but it feels and looks brighter and hydrated. Which of course is still great news. The texture of the lotion is very light and absorbs really easily into the eye area. Also another good thing about the formula and texture is the cooling sensation it gives, this is great for puffiness or bags under the eyes. If I'm totally honest I don't think there is ANY eye cream which will rid my dark circles far away! I believe my dark circles are down to my nutrition and lifestyle, if anyone knows anything about what foods/vitamins are good for dark circles please let me know!! The eye lotion retails at £22.90 which is a reasonable price to pay for an eye cream I think, especially one which targets dark circles.

Lighten- Up eye concealer has been very impressive, from the first application I saw a difference and it wasn't till I saw these before and after photos did I really see how good this product is. There are 3 shades available and I have shade 2 which is perfect for my skin tone. I always have that bluey/purple tinge to my under eye area and unless I have a good coverage foundation on I always need to use a concealer. Lighten-Up contains Amethyst and an SPF 10 which is great because we want to protect our eye area from UV rays.

The packaging is nice and easy to use, you simply twist the base to release the product. I did find that I was twisting for what seemed ages before any product came through but it was worth the wait once I saw the results. The texture is not as heavy as I would normally go for but this does the job fine and as you can see, my dark circles are covered well. I like the brush tip applicator and find this is great to carry around with you if you need a touch up during the day if you're looking tired.

Can you see the difference? This is a great under eye concealer and for the price £14.90 I think this is great value.

I recently felt a little overwhelmed at the amount of products I actually own especially makeup and body products! I love finding products which I once loved then stored them away and forgot about them, I found 2 products which I used together and loved the effect. I've decided that I need to use my makeup which I already own and so have decided to do a series of posts which show you products which I'm pre*loving.
Each week I'm going to nosey through my stash and find at least 3 products which I haven't used for yonks and try to use them again. This isn't going to be a like project 10-pan, this is for me to re-familiarise myself with my makeup and you never know chances are I will find products which work well with other products which I have now.

Macs My Highland Honey came out with the Tartan Tale collection last winter and I was very lucky to get a few bits from the collection for my birthday. My Highland Honey is a stunning satin blush which gives such a warmth feel to the skin. I would best describe this as a peachy-orange toned blush with s slight satin finish, because I'm so pale at the moment I have to be gentle with this blush without looking like I've been Tango-ed ha ha!!
As for Mac Semi-Precious Pearl this is absolutely stunning and I love it so much I can't believe I don't use this more often! I've been using My Highland Honey on the cheeks softly and then using Pearl over the top, these both compliment one another so well. Plus I've fallen back in love with my Mac 168 brush, this brush believe it or not is like 10 yrs old it was my first ever makeup brush and it's still going strong now! It's my only Mac brush.

My lips have started to get chapped and sore already so I hunted down my trusty Blistex and have used this loads lately. This is also great to use as a base for your lipsticks and liner, my lips feel so soft and supple and my lippie lasts much longer.

I remember reading about this lipstick and all the hype last year and knew I had to have it, unfortunatley this is not available to buy in the UK which is so annoying when companies do that. You would think a big brand like Rimmel would make really popular shades available everywhere. I managed to find someone in the US who kindly sent this over to me, I loved it the shade and scent right away. I took swatches of Airy Fairy and Silk lipliner so you can see how well they match.

Pretty Fresh Lips with Shiseido

I recently featured a few FOTDs and some of you asked what I was wearing on my lips, well all will be revealed shortly ladies. I have never tried Shiseido before and had the chance to try one of their beautiful lipsticks and lip glosses. I really like the packaging very sleek and stylish, the lipstick casing is shaped really different from any lipstick I own and fits snuggly in the hand when applying.

The lipstick is so pretty the photo does not do this justice, it's a shame they don't have names because I predict this lipstick would have a really pretty vibrant name.

I wanted to show you the swatches so you can see how pretty the shades are both alone but below I am wearing both the lipstick and lip gloss which really compliment one another.

Here I'm wearing the lipstick with the luminizing lip gloss over the top, I love this combo it's so pretty and stands out.

Here I just have the luminizing lip gloss on a bare lip, you can probably just see the hint of shimmer in the gloss. This gloss feels great on the lips not sticky at all and makes your lips look big and fuller, if you have thin lips I would recommend you try this gloss for the wow factor!

I wanted to share this fresh youthful makeup look which Artistic Director Dick Page created for Marc by Marc Jacobs show at New York fashion week. This look has inspired me to create a similar youthful fresh autumn look, I will let you know how I got on very soon.

With the change of seasons we can often change our makeup looks and also the perfumes we wear. I wanted to blog about Estee Lauders newest perfume called Sensuous Nude, I recently tried this when I was at my local Estee Lauder counter and LOVED it, just reading the notes makes me want to bathe in it! I love the shape of the bottle, a simple classic timeless design. I adore the rose golden cap which is from the original Sensuous fragrance, the bottle looks so pretty and feminine which is true to the perfume.

August was such an exciting month for me, I was able to try a few new products and also fell in love with old products which I hadn't used in a while.

Ojon Dry Recovery Shampoo & Conditioner are both great products which have really hydrated my hair and made it look and feel healthy and shiny. You can read my review here.

Vivienne Westwood Boudoir has to be an all time favourite of mine, I haven't used this for a little while and recently reached for it towards the end of August and have been wearing it everyday since. I just love the heady musky scent. There's nothing like this perfume on the market that I know of and think it needs all the praise it can get. Have you tried this? If not next time your in town I suggest you have a spray or two!

Gosh Bronzing Powder 02 Natural Glow has been used heaps through August, it is a little powdery but I love it so much. I use my e.l.f Stipple brush with this and just swirl the brush in the powder and then swirl again the lid to even out the powder. You can see swatches and pictures here.

e.l.f Stipple brush is a great brush, I use this to apply my bronzers all over and my face powders. I recently posted about my top ten brushes, you can read the review here.

Mac single shadow in Concrete has become a daily shadow for myself, I've had this for a while now and never really shown any interest in it until recently. I love to use this all over the lid and underneath the eyes for a sexy day smokey look. You can see photos here.

Origins Super Spot Remover was a saviour for me during August, I had a terrible break out on my chin and this really helped rid them! Read my review here.

Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara has been a favourite of mine for a while now, I love the big tapered brush and find my lashes are truly transformed when I use this. Check out my review with photos here.

Elizabeth Arden Intervene Radiance Day Cream SPF15, I recently started using this towards the end of August and from the first application I feel in love with the rich yummy scented cream. Plus the SPF15 caught my eye and impressed me. I need to use this for a little while longer so check back for a review shortly.

O.P.I Uh-Oh Roll Down The Window polish from their new collection called Touring America, I love this sludgy olive green cream shade. This was a nice change for me to wear. Check out my review and swatches here.

Orly Everythings Rosy is such a pretty muted dusky pink shade, I have a review with swatches coming up shortly for this.

Denman Tangle Tamer is actually a family favourite, I use this on my 2 children and they love it especially my daughter. I don't think my son is too keen on the bright pink shade ha ha! You can read a review here.

The last favourites are Prestige Lip Liner in Silk and Boots 17 Mirror shine lipstick in Beehive, I've fell back in love with both of these and love finding products which I loved and still love now. You can see a recent FOTD here.

Diva Stay Hot Rollers Review

The last time I tried heated rollers was wayyyy back in the 90's when I was a teenager so I was super excited trying out Divas Heated Rollers. I've tried them a couple times and love the movie star look they give, I felt a little funny with them in and was dreading the postman ringing the door bell or something ha ha!

Here I have Divas Stay Hot Rollers which are super sweet and look very stylish, they come boxed and stored in a neat unit which can lay flat or you can prop it up which is handy. To heat up the rollers is simple, all you need to do is make sure all 20 rollers are in their correct position ensuring the large roller with the green heat-ready dot is placed in the top corner diagonally opposite to the on/off switch.
You must keep the lid closed when heating up the rollers, the rollers take about 10 minutes to heat up. Keep an eye on the heat-ready roller, it should change from green to grey white when they are ready to use.

Altogether there are 20 rollers, 8 large ( pink ), 6 Medium ( purple ) and 6 small ( orange ).

Also included are 10 easy to use butterfly clips and 20 professional colour coded pins plus 6 spares.

I tend to use the rollers on freshly washed hair, however after reading the hints and tips they suggest nearly dry hair achieves good results. I sprayed my hair with TRESemme heat protectant spray and combed through each section before each placing each roller. It's always best to start at the top of your head and work back towards the crown of the head then down the back. This is how I place the curlers, then I curl the sides.

Here's a very fetching shot of me with the rollers in, I've just taken out the first 2 rollers.

Glamorous movie star curls so pretty and elegant, I could get use to these type of curls.

You need to leave the rollers in for at least 10 minutes if not longer if you can, I tend to keep holding them and seeing if they are cool.

Overall I'm really impressed with these rollers and want to try them with my extensions in to have even longer glamorous curls. I couldn't stop looking at them in the mirror all day and even tied my hair up in a pony and loved all the curls bunched together.

MeMeMe Seventh Heaven Face Base

I recently had the chance to try Seventh Heaven Face Base by MeMeMe, as you know my skin type is normal-dry and with the change of seasons my skin needs that extra moisture. I can honestly say this reminds me of Clarins Beauty Flash Balm which I recently reviewed. Seventh Heaven is a moisturising face base which feels rich on the face but yet once applied feels lightweight on the skin. Seventh Heaven is a new product by MeMeMe, I like the simply clean cut packaging.

When I say this smells amazing I seriously mean it, when you're next at Superdrug pop over to the MeMeMe stand and have a whiff. You will not be disappointed, zest of lemon, orange, lime and mandarin all concoct up a lush scent which is good enough to eat!

I noticed how well my foundation went on after using this, I don't have any flaky parts on my face which is great and feel my skin is fully hydrated. Whilst this is also down to my skincare regime I must still praise this product and say how my makeup looks and lasts really well when I've used this. If you suffer from dry skin, or you find your makeup looks patchy sometimes then I really recommend you try this. MeMeMe suggest you leave this on for 3-5mins then apply your foundation, it gives your skin time to absorb and enjoy the drink. With ingredients such as Shea Butter and Vitamin A, your skin feels and looks radiant.

Seventh Heaven Face Base retails at £15 /30ml and is available from Superdrug and MeMeMe Cosmetics online.

I think this is well worth a try if you enjoy Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, whilst this can not be used as a mask this is very similar in comparison and is slightly cheaper.

Sweet like Candy!

Even though the seasons have changed I have still been loving bright girly pinks on my nails and toes, I recently found myself in a dilema. I couldn't decide between Sweet Blush and Basket Case, so decided to use both of them. Sweet Blush is actually from the French manicure range by Orly but is beautiful used all over the nails. Basket Case is such a girly pink shade which has a creme finish, which I adore as you all well know.

I sent a twitpic of my nails on witter and a few lovely followers replied saying they reminded them of candy strips and Fruit salad sweets! Yumm very retro you could say then ha ha!

Please excuse the mark which I did whilst taking photos on my middle nail!! Grr don't you just hate it when that happens?

Orly polishes are amazing and they just keep getting better and better with shades! I have some more shades which I can't wait to show you dolls. I currently have Basket Case on my nails and toes but have plans to change this tomorrow to another Pink shade so will take snaps and share them with you again soon!

How to create Beautiful Bohemian Waves...

Today's post is about creating sexy beachy waves, styling tools are at an all time high and with lots of different styles waves are my favourite style. Enrapture Amplify Jumbo Waver is a new styling tool on the market which claims to create big tousled 'S' waves and volume.

The Amplify Jumbo Waver comes housed in a very elegant midnight blue storage box which is sleek and very stylish. I really like that Enrapture have also included a heat protection pouch and style guide explaining the styling tool and giving ideas.

The Jumbo Waver has an On/Off switch which lights up orange when turned on, there is a heat dial which you decide. The Minus - symbol with small dots is on the low setting roughly 140'c, this is suitable for fine, thin hair. For Normal hair types move the dial half way which heats to 180'c, for coarse hair you can turn the dial to the + symbol which is at the highest setting of 210'c.

The Amplify Jumbo Waver has a professional sprung marcel handle for easy grip and a handle locking ring which closes the waver and for easy storage.

I decided to go for the normal setting so moved the dial half way, it didn't take long to heat up which is great when you are limited for time. The Amplify Jumbo Waver has titanium plate technology which means they don't wear down like ceramic spray finishes and thanks to the polished plates you can style away without hair snagging. I rested them on the heat pouch which came with the set and waited 2 minutes for them to heat up, whilst I was waiting I used my trusty TRESemme Heat Protection spray.

To finish off my waves I used the Luminous Shine Finishing Spray from the Scandalous range by Superdrug.

I took a before and after photo so you can see how different my hair looks, I took big sections of hair underneath then working towards the top layers I took smaller sections of hair. I like to clip back a small section of hair away from the face using a small butterfly clip. I must admit that I prefer my waves the next day when they dropped out a little bit, however you can create this by selecting a lower heating setting on the dial.

Then the day after my waves look a lot softer and this is my favourite look, a beachy bohemian look

Autumn Eyes with Sleeks Sunset Palette...

Following on from my Sultry Sexy eye look which I did yesterday, today I wanted to use the Sunset palette by Sleek to create an Autumn look suitable for the day. However once I got my creative juices flowing there was no stopping me and so this probably is not a day look but is so pretty and reminds me of when the leaves turn that beautiful deep red gold colour.

The Sunset palette is another great palette which has a POP of colour which is great for all year round, I love the burnt rusty warm shades which look beautiful with all eye colours and really brings your natural eye colour out. I have green/hazel eyes and these shades really bring out the green in my eyes. I've been using my Sleek Contour palette which has the most amazing golden highlight, I have the shade Light which is still quite dark and is a great contour shade for me.

This is the look I created using the shades numbered above.

* First I used number 1 all over the lid and in the inner corner of the eyes and under the brow, use this shade softly under the brow and blend well.
* Next up I went for the yellow gold on the middle of the lid and blended into the inner corner of the eye softly.
*I used number 3 on the outer part of the eye lid and crease, I used this colour to act as a base for the darker burnt rusty shades. Blend well into the crease.
* To create some warmth and depth to the eyes I used number 4 on the outer corner and blended out softly.
* To finish the look I went for a deeper burnt rust/red shade and used number 5 just on the outer corner and along the lower lash line.

Blending is key here ladies so take your time and blend well, I love this look and the colours are so beautiful just like Autumn leaves. I went for nude lips because I wanted to keep the eyes the main focus of the look, I hope you like it and let me know would you wear this during the day or evening?

Sexy Sultry Eyes with the Storm Palette...

With the dark evenings drawer closer and with the festivities soon on their way I thought I would create an evening look! I used my Sleek Storm palette which is stunning and always turn to this for evening makeup, I've used this palette so many times on family and friends and they've all loved it.

I have numbered the shades I used to make this easy for you cupcakes!

Here are the sexy sultry eyes I created...

* I used number 1 on the inner corners of the eyes and all over the lid up to the brow.

* Next I used the beautiful gold over the middle part of the eye lid and blend softly.

* I picked number 3 and used this in the crease of the eyes and blended out softly.

* Next up I went for a deeper plum and picked number 4 which I used built up in the outer corner of the eye and blended into the crease and along the lower lash line.

* To finish off I went for the matte black and very softly added this to just the outer corner and softly underneath.

This palette can create so many different looks and I think if you've not yet tried this palette you need to because believe me with all the parties coming up you will turn to this palette and use it lots.
